He is a self-taught with his own particular concept of music \u2013 being able to merge different styles and new techniques in order to bring his audience renewed contemporary sounds based on his roots. He is also the prime force behind the electric timple.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Born in La Laguna (Tenerife) in November 1984, he discovered the timple when he was 12 after inheriting his Grandfather\u2019s instrument. From that moment on, he started a journey through folklore and traditional music. This enterprising young man, together with his band, developed new and innovative routes searching for new goals. More recently, with two albums already released, his sound defines an artist who plays tunes which are full of mastery, discipline and energy on the stage which are the sum of many experiences and a constant desire to evolve.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He holds the following honours: 1ST prize (shared) of the <em>Juventud y Cultura contest for timple<\/em> organized by the <em>Government of the Canary Islands<\/em> and <em>SOCAEM<\/em> (2000). He was also selected by <em>INJUVE (National Institute of Youth Development)<\/em> in Spain as one of the three groups\/artists to be part of a great initiative of concerts around Spain in cities such as <em>Segovia<\/em>, <em>Murcia<\/em> or <em>Getxo<\/em> (2004).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He has released three albums: <em>In-diferente<\/em> (2009), <em>H\u00e1bitat<\/em> (2012) and <em>Timples y Otras Peque\u00f1as Guitarras del Mundo<\/em> (2015), this last one together with other young timple players from the Islands.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nTogether with Multitrack Studios, his regular management office, he has directed, produced and performed the following productions with the timple as the core element: <em>H\u00e1bitat<\/em> (2012), <em>Timpleland<\/em> (2013), <em>Timple Meets India<\/em> (2014), <em>Timples y Otras Peque\u00f1as Guitarras del Mundo<\/em> (2014), <em>Mujeres: de la Voz al Mundo<\/em> (2015), <em>Timple Meets Madeira<\/em> (2016) and <em>Timple Meets Morocco<\/em> (2018).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nMoreover, it is worth stressing that he has also played in the following festivals: <em>Cartagena Folk Festival<\/em> (2004), <em>Segovia Folk Festival<\/em> (2004), <em>XX Getxo International Folk Festival<\/em> (2004), <em>XXII Mercat de M\u00fasica Viva de Vic<\/em> (2010), <em>Costa Rica Internacional Art Festival<\/em> (2010), <em>Tenerife International Cinema Music Festival<\/em> (<em>FIMUCIT\u00c9<\/em>, 2013), <em>FIMUCINEMA<\/em> (2013), <em>Feria Internacional de la Guitarra de Espa\u00f1a<\/em> (<em>Guitar Fair<\/em>, 2014), <em>Bimbache Open Art\/Bimbache Jazz y Ra\u00edces<\/em> (2012, 2013 and 2015), <em>Bolivia International Jazz Festival<\/em> (<em>Festijazz<\/em>, 2015), <em>Festival Cordas<\/em>, Isla de Pico, Azores (2016 and 2018), <em>Festival Ra\u00edzes do Atl\u00e1ntico<\/em>, Funchal, Madeira (2017) and <em>Alasalarte de Canarias<\/em>, Agadir, Marruecos (2018).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nBesides that, Beselch Rodr\u00edguez has collaborated with the following groups and artists: <em>Troveros de Asieta<\/em>, <em>Fabiola Socas<\/em>, <em>Francis Hern\u00e1ndez<\/em> y <em>Species<\/em> in \u201cMis Padres, Mis Abuelos y Yo\u201d show, <em>Chago Meli\u00e1n<\/em> in \u201cAl Emigrante\u201d y \u201cAtl\u00e1ntico\u201d shows, <em>Mestisay and Taburiente<\/em> in \u201cEn Busca de Valentina\u201d, <em>Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Tenerife, Kepa Junkera, Brandania, Madera de Choro, Moise Gonz\u00e1lez, Blanca Casa\u00f1as, Miguel Afonso, Ima Galgu\u00e9n, Takesi<\/em> (Bolivia &#8211; M\u00e9xico) and <em>Star D\u00b4Choir<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the Canary Islands Day in 2012, Beselch Rodr\u00edguez introduced an electric timple designed by himself in cooperation with Jonathan Mann, an American luthier opening the possibility of the timple to be part of the family of steel-string electric instruments and creating a brand new sound to be explored.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VIDEOGRAPHY \u00a1Hello!
